Since the beginning of 2008, the Aseerat project has started to document human rights violations of Palestinian female prisoners, their needs in both detention and incarceration centres and their relations with their families with the objective of publishing a comprehensive study on the issue. All information collected through affidavits, testimonies and semi-structured interviews with both families and prisoners will be included in the final study, which is expected to be finalized in November 2008. In the meantime however, the project publishes short reports on particular research topics.
